The canyon was opened to the public in 2011. Its length is no more than two and a half kilometers, and depth in different parts of the canyon reaches between 20 and 40 meters. The canyon is open to the public any day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except Mondays. The best season to visit is summer. The weather during these months is calm. In rainy weather, guided walks are canceled. Also, for safety reasons, walks are not conducted during the melting snow, as the water level rises several meters.

How much does it cost?

Prices for the entrance ticket:

• Ticket for children under 6 (Georgian citizens and foreigners) — free
• Ticket for minor Georgian citizens (6–18 years old) — 5.5 GEL
• Ticket for Georgian citizens and residents (excluding minors) — 16 GEL
• Ticket for foreign citizens — 40 GEL

The administration has provided certain privileges for visitors to avoid long lines. You can purchase tickets in advance on the website. Tickets will be emailed to you. Later, at the visitor center, present these tickets to the controller in paper or electronic form, and you will get access without waiting in line.

A discount ticket is available for a citizen of Georgia. You can purchase it by showing your passport or a valid ID. Otherwise, you can only use the standard admission ticket.

A ticket for a child under 6 years of age is free. Boat trip in this case has a restriction - the child must be at least one meter tall.
