The remains of a church of the Mother of God lie in the northern part of the Tkhinala area. Walls and overgrown masonry are what survives of the building.
The area lies on the uplands south of Gori, where villages are scattered far apart. The ruins of the church at deserted Sikaleti lie two and a half kilometres away, and an active church of the Virgin of the same area stands to the south.
Access is free at any time, and the path runs through grass and shrubs. The walls and stones deserve care: nothing is touched or taken away.
