The ruins of a church of the Mother of God lie at Sikaleti, the site of a deserted village near Tkhinala in the south of Shida Kartli. Walls and heaps of stone are what remains.
The area lies on the uplands south of Gori, where villages are scattered far apart. The ruins of another church of the Virgin of the same area lie a couple of kilometres away, and the Khandisi church of St. George stands to the east.
Access is free at any time, and the path runs through grass and shrubs. The walls and stones deserve care: nothing is touched or taken away.
