Naeklesiari is the Georgian term for a place where a church once stood and only its traces remain. That is exactly what this place is: there is no working church here and no services, only fragments of walls and the outline of a foundation.
The Parekhi site lies beside the road linking Batumi with Akhaltsikhe over the mountain passes. That route was alive for many centuries, carrying people from coastal Adjara up into highland Samtskhe-Javakheti, and ruins like these remain its material memory.
There is no infrastructure and no signage here, so navigate by the coordinates. Stop on the verge for a short climb and continue on foot. Treat the ruins with care: the masonry holds on its own, without restoration.
