The Shuaseri church is the third and highest of the shrines of Arali. Almost nothing is known about it: neither its age nor the circumstances of its building have become attached to it.
It stands on the slope above the main settlement, and the climb is already a small walk with a view over the valley. The density of shrines in Arali is striking: three Christian buildings in one village, including a Catholic church and the Ermisa church further down the slope.
It is exactly such unknown spots that best show how religious life in a Georgian village works: not one big church for everyone but several small ones, each with its own circle of parishioners.
