Of the church only ruins remain, yet the name holds: the place is called the Trinity one. The difference here is not in the dedication but in what is left on the ground, and we speak of both: the name of the Trinity and the ruins on the spot.
Sadmeli lies three kilometres from Ambrolauri, in the wide part of the Racha valley. The village gives the district three shrines: the church of St. George of Tsikhe stands about a kilometre away, the place of the Virgin at Kldisubani a kilometre and a half. The town church of Ambrolauri rises three and a half kilometres off.
What there is to see is the masonry and the plan rather than vaults. The stones are not moved, the foundation is not stepped on, nothing is taken away. The road from Ambrolauri is easy, and the last few hundred metres to the ruins are best walked. The three village shrines fit into one trip, all within a kilometre and a half.
