The ruins of the church of Saint Barbara lie in Zemo Kodistskaro village in Dusheti Municipality. The hall of about eight metres by five is laid of cobble, while the outer corners are set in neatly worked rectangular stones of shirimi, the local tuff. Sources assign the building to the late Middle Ages.
The building is badly damaged: the vault, the conch of the apse and most of the cross walls have collapsed. The north wall is almost entirely gone, and only a small part of the south wall survives of the later southern annexe.
The entrance was made on the south, but its covering has fallen in. On the east, on the axis of the semicircular apse, an arched window survives: outside the opening is drawn in shirimi stones and closed by an arch carved entirely in a single stone. A small rectangular niche is made on the south side of the apse.
