The name of this place is a count: three salotsavi, that is three places of prayer. In mountain Kartli a salotsavi means a small structure or a marked spot where people come to pray outside a service, and such places usually stand together, one for each family or feast.
The place lies in Lami, a mountain village north of Mtskheta. The church of St. George stands about seven hundred metres away, the Crow sakdari nine hundred, the niche of St. Lomisa a little further, the church of St. Barbara a kilometre off. Down the gorge lies Upureti, and beyond the pass Choporti with its own parish of the Virgin.
Such places rarely have a fence or a door, one simply walks up to them. Offerings and candles are left on the stones and moving them is not the custom. The climb is over grass, and in summer closed shoes are better.
