The niche carries the name of Lomisa, one of the best known names in mountain Kartli: the principal Lomisa sanctuary stands on the pass between Mtiuleti and Khevi, and its veneration spread through all the villages around, where small niches of the same name were set up.
This niche closes the cluster of shrines of Lami. The Crow sakdari stands about four hundred metres away, the church of St. George seven hundred, the three places of prayer a kilometre, the church of St. Barbara a little further. Namesakes are scattered around: Upureti has a Lomisa niche of its own, six kilometres from here.
The niche is small and is neither opened nor locked. Offerings and ribbons left by others are not touched, and photographs are better taken without people in the frame. The climb is easier in dry weather.
