This is the second church ruin of the Tanakhlo locality: it lies southeast of the first, about six hundred and fifty metres away. There is no roof and part of the walls survives.
Two ruins at such a distance indicate that a village once stood here and only the churches remain of it. Tanakhlo lies in the southern part of Bolnisi Municipality, in hilly country with vineyards and pastures. The roads are unpaved and there is no settlement nearby.
Keep to the paths and watch your step, since stones hide in the grass. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
