The Annunciation church of the Sakhundari complex stands near Samtsevrisi in Bolnisi Municipality. The main body is laid of rubble, while the corners, the door and window frames, the cornices and the arches are set in clean bright yellow tuff blocks, and that yellow outline reads well against the grey wall.
The door is made in the west wall and windows are cut in the east, south and west. Inside, a load bearing arch on profiled corbels divides the space into two equal parts, and corbels of the same kind carry the triumphal arch. The semicircular apse holds two small arched niches and the sanctuary floor is level with the floor of the hall. A baptismal niche under a broken arch of light stone is made in the north wall, with a four sided basin set into it.
The main surprise is on the north face of the load bearing arch, above the corbel: a relief of a big cat is carved there. The beast stands on its hind legs, its curved tail raised, its right paw thrown forward. Such a subject is rare in a village church.
