The prayer niche is set in Didi Toneti, about three hundred metres from the village Marian church. A niche is a recess in a wall or rock where candles and small icons are placed.
Didi Toneti belongs to Tetritskaro Municipality and lies in the hilly wooded part of Kvemo Kartli. The prefix didi distinguishes it from the neighbouring smaller Toneti. The roads are narrow and the forest comes right up to the yards.
Modest clothing and quiet behaviour are expected. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
