A Holy Trinity church in northern Didi Toneti. The Trinity is Sameba in Georgian, and this is one of the most frequent dedications in the country: it is borne by the cathedral of the capital and by a great many village churches.
Of the four churches of the village this is the northernmost and the most secluded: a little over a kilometre from here to the church of the Mother of God and almost three to the kviratskhoveli and the Sioni. Nearest of all is not a neighbour in the village but the Holy Trinity church of Mokhisi.
If you are walking Didi Toneti as a whole, this church is best placed at the start or the end of the route. The usual rules apply: covered shoulders and knees, quiet, and a headscarf is useful for women.
