The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and stands beyond the limits of Kvareli, about four kilometres west of the town, among vineyards. The dedication is named outright and the church carries no second qualifier.
Kvareli is known for winemaking and for Kvareli Lake, and the vineyards around the town yield the Kindzmarauli wine. Almost all the Kvareli sanctuaries of this neighbourhood stand outside the town: the Kindzmarauli Trinity monastery, the Tskhrakara church, the churches of Kuchatani and the Kvari fortress by the lake.
There is no fixed schedule of services here and the site can be approached at any time. The road from the town is short and mostly paved, with an unpaved turning to the church. The trip combines well with a wine route around the Kvareli neighbourhood, the more so as the distances here are short.
