The Trinity church in the north-western part of Kakabeti, next door to the Annunciation church, is another church of a village that counts a full six churches in this area. The Mother of God basilica in the south-east, Kvelatsminda in the north-east, the Annunciation and the Trinity in the north-west, the Kavta pair in the hills: a density rare even for Kakheti.
The Trinity church in this constellation is part of the north-western pair, and the round of the whole village with the climb into the hills takes half a day of unhurried walking. Kakabeti deserves such a day: few other villages tell the story of Kakhetian piety so visibly.
One enters freely, with the usual courtesy of a working church: modest dress, a quiet voice, respect for a service. At Trinity the church is especially busy.
