The church in the southern part of Patara Chailuri is known without a dedication: no saint name is given for it, and in the village it is simply the church. That is ordinary in Kakhetian villages, especially for small parishes standing away from the main roads.
The village lies on the plain west of Sagarejo, among fields and pastures. Patara Chailuri holds four church sites, all of different character: besides this one there is a Virgin Mary parish, a Trinity church and the Kopale monastery of Saint George. Another unnamed church stands further north, beyond the built-up area.
There is no schedule of services, the church is not often open, but it can be approached at any time. The tracks inside the village are easy and flat, while the way out to the northern church crosses fields and turns to mud after rain. Dress as for any church: covered shoulders and knees.
