Another church of the Kalobani cluster is dedicated to Saint George. Eighty metres separate it from the Virgin Mary church, and such closeness of two churches is not rare in Kakhetian villages: the dedications differ, historically the parishes did too, and one does not replace the other.
Both churches stand at the edge of Tokhliauri, at the foot of the Gombori range, where the pass road to Telavi begins. The village is small, lies east of Sagarejo, and the Kalobani cluster is its main church site.
There is no fixed schedule of services and the site can be approached at any time. Seeing both churches takes a quarter of an hour, so a visit fits well into a drive over the Gombori pass. If the church is open, step in quietly and with covered shoulders.
