The church ruins lie in the Kakhetian Ninotsminda, which should not be confused with the town of the same name in Samtskhe-Javakheti. There is no roof, and the walls and foundation survive.
The village belongs to Sagarejo Municipality and lies in the Iori gorge, about a kilometre and a half from the Trinity monastery of Katsareti near Khashmi. The name means Saint Nino, the enlightener of Georgia. The area is hilly, with vineyards and an opening towards the steppe.
Keep a restrained manner: for nearby villages this is a place of memory. The site remains part of the everyday life of the area, and that deserves respect.
