The Saterdze monastery stands in the hills near Tsiplovana village in the west of Shida Kartli. Saterdze is the name of the local area, and it has passed to the monastery as well.
A couple of hundred metres away the church of St. Andrew the First Called is being built, and a church of St. George stands not far off, so the spot is gradually taking shape as a small monastic hub.
Modest clothing is appropriate in the monastery, and women may want a headscarf. At the building site it is best to keep clear of the work.
