The church of Saint George stands about a kilometre and a half southwest of Saterdze, in the Saterdzistskali gorge, on a mountain spur among tall oak groves. Sources assign the building to the late 13th and the 14th century and lists it as a cultural heritage monument.
The hall of about eleven metres by seven is laid of well polished and tightly set sandstone ashlars. There are two entrances, south and west, and the stone of the west architrave has fallen and now lies right in front of the doorway.
An arched window is cut on the axis of the semicircular apse, and semicircular niches about three metres high stand on either side of it, the arch of each niche carved from a single piece of stone. The bases of the conch rest on imposts of differing profile: the southern a smooth shelf with a slightly sloping plane, the northern a shelf with a sharpened edge and a rod. One more arched window sits in the eastern part of the south wall and another above the west entrance.
