A church of St. Andrew the First Called is being built at Saterdze near Tsiplovana village in the west of Shida Kartli. The apostle Andrew is venerated in Georgia in a special way, as the first preaching in these lands is linked to his name.
The Saterdze monastery stands a couple of hundred metres away, and a church of St. George of the same area is a kilometre and a half to the south. The surroundings lie in the hills east of Khashuri.
At the building site it is best to keep clear of the work. The place can be approached at any time, and the road runs on gravel.
