The church of Sts. Zabulon and Sosana stands on the grounds of the Karmeli monastery near Gverdzineti village. In Georgia the two are venerated as the parents of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to the country.
A few steps away stands another church of the community, in the name of the prophet Elijah, while the Karmeli monastery itself rises a little higher. The area lies east of Khashuri, in the wooded hills.
The usual monastic rules apply here: covered shoulders and knees, and quiet. Photography and attending services are best agreed with the residents.
