The naeklesiari lies in the surroundings of Ikvnevi village of Gori Municipality. That is the Georgian word for a place where a church once stood: traces of masonry and a noticeable rise are what remains.
The area lies west of Gori, in the hills at the mouth of the Ateni gorge. The ruins of the church of the Virgin at Dri lie a kilometre and a half to the west, and the Khandisi church of St. George stands to the south.
Access is free at any time, and the path runs through grass and shrubs. The stones and masonry deserve care: nothing is touched or taken away.
