The church is dedicated to the Resurrection: Kviratskhoveli, one of the most recognisable Georgian dedications, where the root kvira means Sunday.
Tsedisi is a small village in Gori Municipality, at the foot of the ridge that separates the valleys. The reward of coming here lies in the chain: barely a couple of hundred metres away stands the church by the gate of the Tsedisi fortress, surviving as ruins, and slightly north is the church of St. George known as Lomisi. Three churches within a kilometre give a sense of what this place was like when the fortress still functioned.
Of the three buildings this is the only one to survive intact. No dating has become attached to it. The road runs south-west of Gori towards the foot of the ridge. Dress soberly, women bring a headscarf.
