The church of the Mother of God stands in the southern part of Kitsnisi and turns out to be the farthest of the four village churches.
It is four hundred and sixty metres from here to the Trinity church, six hundred to the Kvelatsminda church and nearly a kilometre to the Archangel church. The difference in height between them is noticeable: the village stretches along a slope, and its northern part stands markedly higher than the southern.
There are no regular services here and the church can be seen from the outside at any time. If you walk all four in a row, it is better to start high and go down rather than the other way round.
