Kvelatsminda translates as All Saints: the word is made of the Georgian kvela, all, and tsminda, holy. The dedication is ordinary in Georgia, and churches of that name are met from Kakheti to Imereti.
The building closes the foursome of Kitsnisi shrines and stands among the other three: three hundred metres to the Trinity church, three hundred and seventy to the Archangel church, six hundred to the church of the Mother of God.
There are no regular services here and people come freely. Of the four village churches this one is the handiest if you walk the whole village on foot.
