A church of the Mother of God in Marana. The dedication is given at times by the general name and at times specified as a church of Saint Mariam: it is one and the same, only at a different level of detail.
This is another shrine of the village. The church of Saint George stands two hundred and thirty metres away, so both can be walked in one short stroll. Beyond that shrines are few in the area: Pkhvenisi and Karbi are five and six kilometres off.
Marana fits well into a route with Karbi and Pkhvenisi: three villages along a short stretch north of Gori. The usual rules apply: covered shoulders and knees, quiet, and a headscarf for women.
