The St. George naeklesiari lies at Levitana near Gagluantubani village in the west of Shida Kartli. Naeklesiari means a place where a church once stood.
A quarter of a kilometre to the south lies a second such site, that of a church of the Virgin, so Levitana holds two of them. The area lies on the uplands south of the Kura valley, away from the main roads.
Access is free at any time, and the path runs across the grass. Candles are left here, and the stones and masonry deserve careful treatment.
