The Giorgitsminda church is dedicated to St George: giorgitsminda means exactly that in Georgian. Its second name, mitsis sakdari, translates as the earth church.
The building stands in the mountains between the villages of Sakire and Tadzrisi: about a kilometre and a half to the Tadzrisi church complex, and the same to the two-church basilica of Sakire. All three churches lie along one forest stretch of road.
There is no schedule; the exterior is viewed freely. The path is narrow in places, so wear closed shoes.
