In Tadzrisi village of Borjomi Municipality a church complex survives. The very name of the village speaks for itself: tadzari means temple in Georgian, and the sanctuary remains its heart.
Tadzrisi stands in forested mountains above the Mtkvari valley, between Borjomi and Akhaltsikhe. The village is small, surrounded by the coniferous slopes of the Borjomi area and quiet country roads.
The buildings can be viewed from outside at any time; getting inside is not always possible. Mountain weather changes fast, so take comfortable shoes.
