The church of Saint George stands on the grounds of the old settlement of Muskhi in Akhaltsikhe Municipality. The hall building is laid of worked stone, tuff and lime, the roof is covered with sheet metal tiles, and a small bell tower is set at the western corner of the roof.
Traces of earlier buildings survive around the church: the place is called a nasoplari, the site of a former village, and the church stayed on after the people left.
A Georgian inscription survives on the tympanum stone of the entrance door. The entrance is cut in the west wall, and one window each in the east and west walls and two in the south give the light. The floor is laid with stone tiles, the rafters are of wood, and a wooden upper level is built against the west wall.
