Akhdila is the name of this church, and it stands by the village of Muskhi in Akhaltsikhe municipality. What lies behind the name is now hard to say: Samtskhe has many shrines that kept only their old titles.
Muskhi lies in the foothills not far from Akhaltsikhe - the town is about ten kilometres away. The area is rich in churches: the villages here are old, and almost every one has a shrine of its own.
