At the site of the abandoned village of Old Muskhi a church trace and a prayer niche survive, nishi in Georgian. A niche is a recess in a wall or rock where an icon or a candle was placed.
The place lies in the hills southeast of Akhaltsikhe, among meadows and old pastures. Do not confuse it with the living village of Muskhi: that one is about four kilometres away as the crow flies.
The remains of the masonry are fragile, so do not move stones or climb the walls. View the niche from outside.
