The church of Chobareti village is consecrated to Pentecost, Sultmopenoba in Georgian: the feast of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles. This dedication is rare among the village churches of Samtskhe.
The village lies in the mountains of Aspindza Municipality, northwest of the district centre. A kilometre to the west traces of the Verana settlement and the Kviratskhoveli church site survive.
The doors are opened for services; residents will tell you the times. Modest dress is appropriate for a visit.
