Lake Kaliashi Toba is located on the Egrisi ridge, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, at an elevation of about 2,490 metres. It's one of the small "Toba family" lakes near the main lake, Tobavarchkhili, and Didgalish Toba, considered the most photogenic of the group's smaller lakes.
The lake is small, with a distinctive shape: from some angles it resembles a heart, from others more of a three-leaf clover. The water is typically blue, though the shade can shift with light and season. There's a small waterfall nearby, and the lake itself is fed by several streams. According to reviews, the water stays icy even at the height of summer.
Worth noting: suitable camping space at Kaliashi Toba is very limited, just one small spot, so most visitors come here on a day trip from the Tobavarchkhili base camp rather than staying overnight. The approach is physically demanding, but according to reviews, the views and photo and video opportunities fully make up for the effort.
