The chapel of Surb Saroi stands northeast of Nardevani village in Tsalka Municipality, not far from the cyclopean fortress. That neighbourhood speaks for itself: people settled here long before Christian chapels appeared.
The building is laid of roughly worked basalt stones set dry, without mortar. It is an old technique, familiar precisely from cyclopean masonry, and it turns up rarely in the twentieth century.
The entrance is on the north, which is unusual for buildings here. Sources assign the chapel to the late twentieth century, and the walls and apse have come down to us. The same village also holds the church of the Virgin Mary, at the foot of the same fortress.
