The church is dedicated to Saint Barbara and stands three hundred metres from the church of the Seven Brothers. Care is needed with the name here: a church of the same dedication exists in Kordi in the Gori district of Shida Kartli, an entirely different place in another region.

Sakdrioni lies east of Tsalka, on the high plateau of Kvemo Kartli, and lives up to its name, which comes from the word sakdari: four churches fit within six hundred metres here. This is the most compact church cluster of the Kvemo Kartli part.

There is no fixed schedule of services and the site can be approached at any time. All four churches can be walked in half an hour, and it makes sense to leave the car at the first. The plateau is open, windy and snowy in winter, so the warm season is easier and clothes should be warmer than the forecast suggests.
