A church dedicated to Saint George in Didi Gomareti. The name of the village translates literally as Greater Gomareti, and it should not be confused with Gomarti in Kakheti: these are different places at opposite ends of the country.
The village holds three shrines, all close together. The church of the Mother of God stands two hundred and thirty metres away, and the sakdari in the bushes, a village church with a descriptive name, a little over a kilometre and a half off.
The two nearer churches are a couple of minutes apart on foot, while the third is easier to drive to. The usual rules apply: covered shoulders and knees, quiet, and a headscarf for women.
