A church of the Mother of God in Didi Gomareti. Marian dedications are the most numerous in Georgian villages after Saint George, and their chief day, Mariamoba, falls at the end of August.
This church closes the group of three shrines of the village. The church of Saint George stands very close, two hundred and thirty metres away, and the sakdari in the bushes a little over a kilometre off, nearer the outskirts.
The two nearer churches are a couple of minutes apart on foot, while the third is easier to drive to. The rules are those of any working church: covered shoulders and knees, quiet, and a headscarf is useful for women.
