This church is known without a name and without a dedication: in the village it is simply the church. It stands about three hundred metres from the church of the Seven Brothers and, with two others, forms a compact cluster.

The name of the village itself, Sakdrioni, comes from the word sakdari, meaning a church, and lives up to it: four churches fit within six hundred metres here. Sakdrioni lies east of Tsalka, on the high plateau of Kvemo Kartli, where winters are colder and snowier than in the valleys.

There is no fixed schedule of services and the site can be approached at any time. All four churches can be walked in half an hour, and it makes sense to leave the car at the first. The plateau is open and windy, so bring a windproof layer even in summer, and in winter check whether the road has been cleared.
