The chapel is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin, though in the village it is more often called something else, the chapel of Thomas. Who this Thomas was local tradition does not explain, yet the name has stuck to the place and holds on equally with the dedication.
It stands south of the main part of Rekha, by a spring. Rekha lies in the west of the Tsalka plateau and keeps five holy places in all: the churches of the Archangel and of the Mother of God, the chapels of St George and of the martyrs Kvirike and Ivlita, and this one.
There are no regular services here and one may come at any time. A tip for the road: the last stretch runs as a path away from the village, it turns muddy in wet weather, and sturdy shoes are worth taking.
