The church stands at the Tskhvareti site: the village emptied, while the church remained among the old yards. Nasoplari in Georgian means exactly that, the trace of a departed village.
The place lies in the mountains in the west of Tsalka Municipality, near the border with the Borjomi area. High pastures surround it, and dirt roads lead here.
The building stands unattended, and it is better not to go inside. Plan the trip with time to spare: the district centre is more than twenty kilometres away.
