The church of St. Nicholas in Zemo Kachreti is the church of the upper village above roadside Kachreti. It lives the village life in its Kakhetian form: services, yards and vineyards around, with the Kakhetian hills above the roofs.
Zemo Kachreti with its St. Nicholas church and the Archangel church ruins on the northern edge is the quiet pair to the busy lower village.
