The Kviratskhoveli church stands in the upper part of Jimiti. The word carries a dedication to the Resurrection of Christ, and such churches are frequent in Kakheti, sometimes several across neighbouring villages.
That is exactly what happened here: churches of the same name stand in Kalauri north-west of Gurjaani and in Mirzaani in the south of the region, told apart by the name of the village. Within Jimiti this is the second of three churches: the village also holds one of the Virgin and one of Saint George to the north, all three within walking distance. The village lies in the foothills and the road to it is unpaved in places.
The yard is freely open at any time; inside is entered for a service. Dress with shoulders and knees covered, a headscarf for women, and speak quietly on the grounds.
