The Church of the Archangel stands in the center of Khevisubani, near Gurjaani, and is listed as an architectural monument.
The hall church, measuring 14.9 by 8.9 meters, is built of brick and lime mortar.
In 2009, rehabilitation work was carried out here: the building was restored to its original appearance, and the surrounding area was landscaped. At the same time, a two-tiered bell tower and a single-story building adjoining the church to the south were erected ten meters to the south.
There is a discrepancy in the dating. The description of the building places the church in the 19th century, while the list of monuments in the village of Gurjaani on the Georgian Wikipedia lists the Church of the Archangel Michael as a late 18th-century building. Both versions are listed here; it's not worth choosing between them without access to the registry.
238 meters to the west stands the Church of John the Baptist in the same village, so both can be visited in one go.
