Chandari lies north-east of Gurjaani, along the road among the vineyards of the Alazani valley. Nearby, on the same road, stand Chikaani with its church of the apostle Thomas, an uncommon dedication in Georgia, and Gavazi with a church of the Virgin. The Chandari church stands away from the main village street.
