A church of the Saviour that Speti calls the lower one. The village has two places of the Saviour, told apart the way the halves of a village are: zeda matskhovari is the upper and kveda matskhovari the lower. The upper one, a chapel further up the slope, stands about a kilometre and a half from here.
Such a paired arrangement is common in mountain villages: one church serves everyday parish life while the other stands high up and is visited on occasion. Speti lies in eastern Imereti and its area holds several holy places, including a wooden church of Saint George in the cemetery. The century of building is not established.
The parish is rural and services are infrequent. Dress modestly, women wear a headscarf. Both places of the Saviour are easy to see in one visit if there is time for the climb.
