🏖 The Ganmukhuri Water Park near Anaklia: How Many Slides, When It Opens and What to Know with Children
🏖 Anaklia Water Park: The Essentials
The largest water park on the Georgian Black Sea coast north of Batumi. It opened in 2012, was designed by the Canadian firm White Water West and holds 800 people at a time. It stands not in Anaklia itself but in neighbouring Ganmukhuri, which is worth knowing when you plan the route.

The Anaklia water park is the main attraction on the northern stretch of the Georgian coast and, broadly, the single reason families with children come to this quiet corner of Samegrelo.
The first thing to know: it is not in Anaklia. The park stands in neighbouring Ganmukhuri, and a navigation app set to Anaklia will take you somewhere else. It is also searched for under several names, including 'Ganarjiis Mukhuri', the village's alternative name.
📍 What is inside
The complex opened in 2012. It was designed by the Canadian firm White Water West, one of the largest in the industry, and for scale and range of attractions it counts among the notable parks in Eastern Europe.

Seven slides form the core, plus a jacuzzi and a separate area with smaller chutes for young children.
Capacity is 800 people at once. That number matters: on peak August weekends the park fills up, and it is better to arrive at opening.
Two food outlets on site, so there is no need to bring supplies.
The complex is fitted with modern safety systems, which is what you would expect of a site designed by a specialist international firm.
🎫 Tickets, hours and what to know with children

Prices here change from season to season, and noticeably: entry has risen by roughly half over a few years. Specific figures are therefore not quoted, since they would go out of date faster than you can drive there.
The structure of the tariff, however, is stable and you can budget from it.
Young children below a certain age enter free, the threshold usually being four. Above that comes a child rate, roughly up to ten, and then an adult rate for those over ten. So the budget works out over three categories rather than two.
Opening hours are seasonal. The park generally opens around midday and closes in the evening, but the exact times shift month by month and differ at the start of the season from the peak.
Tickets are single-entry, bought on site. Coupon offers appear periodically on Georgian discount services, so it is worth checking for a promotion before you travel.
With small children, arrive at opening: the slides get busy by the middle of the day and the children's area fills up completely.
🗺️ Ganmukhuri and Anaklia: telling them apart
Everyone gets these confused, so it is worth spelling out.
Anaklia is the town at the mouth of the Enguri, with the promenade, the beach and the unfinished tower. The hotels, restaurants and all the resort life are there.
Ganmukhuri is the neighbouring village, also known as Ganarjiis Mukhuri. This is where the water park stands.
A few kilometres separate them, so you can stay in Anaklia and drive to the park. But if you are plotting a route on a map, set the point by Ganmukhuri or you will end up in the wrong place.
We cover the town itself in a fuller account of the resort, and the tower on the promenade has a piece of its own.

🚗 Getting there
Your reference town is Zugdidi, thirty kilometres and about forty minutes from Anaklia by marshrutka. The park is slightly out of the way, and the last few kilometres are easier by taxi or your own car.
Zugdidi is reached from Tbilisi by marshrutka or overnight train, from Kutaisi in about two and a half hours, and from Batumi in around three.
Services to Anaklia run more often in summer than out of season. But the park only operates in season, so the question rarely arises.
🧭 Where to stay and what is nearby
It makes sense to base yourself in Anaklia: there is more accommodation there and the beach and promenade are on the doorstep.

Information is current as of August 2026. Ticket prices, opening hours and the season's start date change every year, so check the current conditions before you travel.
