The Vere monastic community stands in the hills between Kaspi and Gori. Sources list it both as a monastery and as the Vere church of the Virgin Mary.
The area lies away from the main roads, among the hills south of the Mtkvari valley. The St. George churches of Avkveti and Danakhvisi stand in the neighbouring localities.
Modest clothing is appropriate in the community, and a headscarf is worth bringing for women. Photography and attending services are best agreed with the residents.
