The shrine of St. George stands on the land of deserted Avkveti. Nasoplari means a former village: no residents are left, yet the place of prayer remains.
The area is hilly and lies between Kaspi and Gori, south of the Kura valley. The St. George church of Avkveti stands a couple of kilometres away, with the Vere monastery not far off.
The shrine can be approached at any time. Candles and modest offerings are left here, gifts of others are not touched, and the place deserves careful treatment.
